Are you interested in leading or co-leading engaging workshops, rituals, retreats, ceremonies, professional development seminars or groups online and/or in person?
Are you already an experienced facilitator or teacher but want to add more somatic tools to your toolbox?
Are you new to group work and want to learn and practice in a low pressure environment?
This is a pre-approved elective for the Somatic Sex Educator Training and can also be taken as professional development for anyone in the field. Sliding Scale options and payment plans available. If you want to join us let us know and we can likely find a way to make it work!
Platforms we are using: Zoom & Teachable. The training consists of six, four-hour-long live online workshops. There are six rich modules of generative curriculum, between session homework with your facilibuddies and one coaching session with captain.

PINK- Sliding Scale $1200 Consider this level if 1+ of the following apply: You are comfortably able to meet your basic needs as well as your basic wants, have reliable employment and/or income that gives you livelihood, own a car, own a home or rent a higher end property, have access to financial savings (yours, family’s, or others’), have investments, can afford to travel every year, have expendable income.
PURPLE- Sliding Scale $900 Please Note: This is the level we need most people to choose in order to cover our expenses and pay ourselves a living wage.
Consider this level if 1+ of the following apply: you meet your basic needs regularly but meet basic wants less easily, somewhat reliable employment and/or income, are able to buy some new items and thrift others, can travel every couple/few years without burden, have some debt but it does not prevent access to basic needs/wants.
ORANGE-Sliding Scale $700
Consider this level if 1+ of the following apply: have very limited expendable income, are unemployed or have unstable employment but are still able to meet basic needs, have little or no access to savings or financial support from family, have debt that requires some sacrifices on needs/wants

Your Instructor
Liam “captain” Snowdon is a Somatic Sex Educator, Anti-Violence Worker, and poet. Captain is the founder of SPARC (The Sex Positive Art and Recreation Centre) on the occupied territories of the Lekwungen people colonially know as Victoria, BC. Captain is a former Assistant Professor at the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco and current faculty with The Institute for Sexual Education and Enlightenment. They have spent the last 10 years co-teaching both of North America’s Somatic Sex Educator Trainings (Sexological Bodywork Training). They hold a Master’s degree in Public Health in Human Sexuality and a Doctorate in Human Sexuality.
Some of their dream jobs they have had over the years are peer counsellor, queer youth project facilitator, street outreach worker, needle exchange and harm reduction worker, gay men’s health co-ordinator and they were also a server in a high end cafeteria wearing a cream and gold tuxedo and a gold banana clip. Their work has been with communities, families, couples, and individuals and extensively with folks in non-traditional arrangements for the last 20+ years.
Their own journeys with learning disabilities, gender, queerness, causing harm and experiencing harm, privilege and oppression continue to deeply inform their ever changing practice. Captain is passionate about social justice, embodiment, earth magic and the ocean.
All of the projects and organizations they work with have scholarships please let captain know if you need any support navigating the processes or have additional accessibility requirements. They would be delighted to support and advocate for you in this way.
At present 10% of their income is committed to local indigenous land and water defence projects.
